A graduate of McGill University School of Medicine, Dr. E. Pelausa completed postgraduate training in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO-University of Ottawa), Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at McMaster University Health Center (MUMC-McMaster University) and took an extra year of Neonatal training and Neonatal Follow-Up at Mt. Sinai |Hospital with Dr. P. Fitzharding (University of Toronto). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, certified with the American Board of Pediatrics and an NRP Master Instructor. She returned to McGill in 2001 and has been a full-time staff of the Jewish General Hospital. Clinical research has been in neonatal pain, nutrition, PDA, neonatal infection and neonatal follow-up, specifically the early and late outcomes of ELBW-VLBW infants. She is the JGH site coordinator for the Canadian Neonatal Network (CNN) and the MICARE research programs.
