Living In Montreal

Montreal is a young and vibrant city located in the province of Quebec. Situated only 30 minutes from the US-Canadian border, Montreal provides a dynamic multicultural environment especially for French and English speakers. Though the official language of Montreal is French, the Greater Montreal area has many English and bilingual neighbourhoods. Although it is not the largest city in Canada, it remains one of the most important Canadian cities regarding the arts, culture and architecture.

Montreal is known to be a relatively affordable major city with low rentals and housing prices. Transportation is not an issue with a well-developed public transit system and bicycle infrastructure.

In 2017, QS World University Rankings ranked the city is number 1 best place in the world to be a university student. As the country’s cultural capital, Montreal is home to over 250 theatres, dance companies and more than 90 festivals.
